A few months ago, Larry Hatteberg, KAKE TV news anchor and Master Storyteller, visited the Whole Wall Mural and “Holbert’s Garage”Near Concordia, KS, Dean Holbert has created an old-time store on his farm that is full of memories and antiques. Cars, farm equipment, medicine, clothes, tools…you name it has been placed in his unique private museum that sets on a farm adjacent to his home. JamestownJamestown Wildlife Area, is a collection of historical wetlands and associated uplands that have been under state management since 1932. Jamestown's two larger marshes were one of the twelve wetlands sold to provide funding for Emporia State Teachers College. This area is located along a major migration route for the Central Flyway.
MiltonvaleTootleville is one of the best parks in the county. Children can be pirates in the ship, firemen in the fire truck, conductors of the trains, or whatever their imagination leads them to be. Hours of free fun await!
