Cloud County has several signature events that take place each year. They have become time honored traditions for families to come together as well as bring home former residents to enjoy time together and reminiscing days gone by.

Cloud County Fair

The Cloud County Fair brings people from communities throughout the county, but also the surrounding counties as well. The lights and sounds bring excitement and life to the fairgrounds. With lots of delicious food to try, we all know it’s almost impossible to leave the fair without a funnel cake, and vendors to check out, it’s the social gathering of the summer. 4-H’ers and community members show off their skills at sewing, cooking, crafting, painting, photography, and more all trying to get that big purple best of show ribbon. The barn animals are always a favorite. Even in small rural communities where farms are prevalent, kids and adults will get a twinkle in their eyes when they stop by and get to pet a goat! Seeing the hard work and talents of so many displayed over a few short days that they’ve put work into all year long, is such a show of pride in how we live, play, and what we love.

Clyde Watermelon Festival

The Clyde Watermelon Festival, an annual event for over 110 years, began when watermelons were a choice crop on sandy, river bottom land and could be easily shipped out by rail. Hundreds of people gather every Labor Day weekend for the multi-day festival, parade, BBQs, demolition derby, dances, contests, games, vendors, and socializing.

Concordia Fall Fest

Fall Fest has fun for the whole family. Activities all day for adults and children, a parade, craft and food vendors, entertainment, shop the merchants, and inflatables for the kids. The annual event brings in over 6,000 visitors to Concordia each year and has been celebrated over 40 years. Celebrated annually on the 4th Saturday of September.

Glasco Fun Day

Held the first Saturday in October, this annual festival honors the community’s heritage with music, a parade, and kid’s games, which make up the heart of the celebration. The annual car show adds excitement to the parade and provides sidewalk viewing throughout the day.

Each year a theme is chosen to highlight history and community attractions.

Miltonvale Tootlefest

This annual celebration in the quaint town of Miltonvale is packed with fun! Held at the end of August, Tootlefest is a 3 day event featuring musical entertainment, a parade, a car show, quilt show, and a Glow Run, just to name a few.

Kid’s games, lunch, raffles, free will community BBQ dinner, live music with a beer garden, and new to the event, horseshoe and cornhole tournaments! Possibly the biggest “up-close” fireworks show you’ll ever experience.
